Hatfield-McCoy Mountains Region
Thrills and Spills

Day 1

ATVBegin your trip with one of the greatest thrills in West Virginia. The Hatfield-McCoy Trails are ATV, UTV and motorcycle friendly. The trails are professionally managed with safety and security as top priorities. Ranging from easy to extremely difficult trails, the experience is open for anyone to enjoy on all skill levels. Some trail sites connect to ATV friendly towns, which provide full service food, fuel and lodging.

Day 2
Cool down and wash off the mud at Water Ways Water Park, near the town of Julian. Get soaked flying down water slides, float down the lazy river, splash in the water fall at the kiddie pool and swim to your heart’s content in the Jr. Olympic sized pool. Visitors can also play a round of miniature golf, race go karts and have a picnic.

Day 3
Spend the day at Chief Logan State Park, which offers a variety of activities for everyone in the family. The park’s museum includes local wildlife and historical exhibits and has scheduled events such as a Civil War reenactment and Shawnee Trail encampment. Play some miniature golf, tennis or basketball or go swimming in the park’s pool, which includes a water slide. Hiking trails and fishing are also available. Have a picnic for lunch or eat at the Chief Logan Restaurant that is nearby. In the evening, sit under the stars at the Liz Spurlock Amphitheatre and watch a scheduled show by The Aracoma Story, Inc. theatre company.
