Just steps away from the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine, visit the Youth Museum of Southern West Virginia and their pioneer village, The Mountain Homestead. The Youth Museum is open year-round and offers changing interactive exhibits on art, history, science and nature. There is also a puzzle room and gift shop.

"Once Upon a Time: The Wonderful World of Fairytales" a hands-on exhibition exploring seven beloved tales from around the world.  Ride in Cinderella's carriage, try your hand at making shoes with the cobbler's elves, play Beauty's piano, climb the beanstalk, climb through Thumblina's tunnel and more.

Feb. - August. On loan from the St. Louis Children's Museum.
