The Pioneer Days begun in 1967 to make history come alive and this tradition continues 48 years later!

For four days Marlinton becomes a place where you can get lost from one block to another. When was the last time you saw a blacksmith at his work, an old river ark, a beauty pageant, the McLaughlin Antique Car Show and a regionally known craft and quilt show that brings people from dozens of different states all in the same place? Pioneer Days takes up several blocks in town and goes well in to the night. There's music for young and old, and you can find food from pork rinds, to BBQ pork, to foot long corndogs. While the pioneers have changed with the generations, we still want to let those who have gone before us to know how much we appreciate and remember their legacy.

Build your family reunion around this one as many folks come "back home" to celebrate. Don't miss the carnival, concessions, flea market, horseshoe pitching, youth events, contests, demonstrations, truck and tractor pull, mud bog and lots more!
