Located in Philippi, WV - scene of the first official battle of the Civil War - we have artifacts from the official beginning and end of the Civil War. Information on the Philippi Covered Bridge and the B&O Railroad. We have the Meyers' Legacy. Information on Ida Reed. Pictures of the 1985 Flood of Philippi and the Burning of the Philippi Covered Bridge in 1989 and other artifacts from the residents of Barbour County. Also seen on National Geographic's Mummy Road show. No Tuesday or Thursday hours during the winter season.
