Where do Motorcyclists Fit In
Where we always do — enjoying the roads, scenery and culture. Here however, those elements combine with the 150th Anniversary to make an experience that will build a respect for our forefathers that we can refer to for many years to come — no matter what we ride or how we discover the sites of history along the way. I believe it’s best to be out on a motorcycle soaking up the roads as you imagine what it might have been like galloping over the landscape on a horse, trying to race between town and farm while all of the countryside was abuzz of the events that lead up to the Civil War. How else better than to trace the heritage of our country — where freedom is the cornerstone for our beliefs as a citizen and as a rider.
Laid out here is a possible route with roads that will give you but a small taste of the region. It will be up to you do to some additional research — which should not be too hard if you have an internet connection or choose to call or write any tourism office in or around the Harpers Ferry area. Phone numbers and web links well be listed below.
