The Greenbrier Resort

The Greenbrier Classic is the premier golf tournament in West Virginia and one of the key stops on the PGA TOUR as part of the coveted FedExCup. The tournament, which debuted in 2010, takes place on The Old White course at the historic Greenbrier resort. Once a year, thousands of spectators surround the green and millions more watch on TV to see who will bring home the Springhouse trophy. The weeklong tournament is capped with a nightly series of concerts and a menu loaded with The Greenbrier’s signature dishes.

Ted Potter Jr. won the 2012 Greenbrier Classic after a three-hole play-off against Troy Kelly at The Old White Tournament Players Club. Both men completed the regulation four rounds in 264 shots, resulting in a score of 16 under par. It took three holes to determine the winner, during the third of which Potter holed a four-foot birdie putt to claim the victory and $1,098,000 prize money.

The official PGA TOUR FedExCup returns to the Greenbrier on July 1-7, 2013, with a field of 156 professionals competing for a $6 million purse.

The concerts for The Greenbrier Classic have been named, and the exciting lineup includes:  Kenny Chesney on Thursday, July 4 and Aerosmith on Saturday, July 6.  For times and more information, visit www.greenbrierclassic.com.
