This award is presented to the organization that uses the most imaginative and innovative marketing.

Winner: Bloomery Plantation Distillery

Best Print Article

The Spirit of West Virginia Award
This award is presented to a community or organization that has promoted West Virginia tourism development and enhanced community pride while preserving the state’s cultural, historical or natural heritage and beauty.

Winner: Lewisburg Literary Festival

West Virginia Community Development Award
This award is presented to the community or organization that has enhanced its local resources through multibusiness cooperatives and development efforts.

Winner: Morgantown Marketplace

The Mountain State Award

Recognizes the event or facility that stands above the rest in excellence in programming (types and number of activities for tourists) quality, distinctiveness, marketing efforts and/or attendance and impact on the state’s economy and/or image.

Winner: Mountaineer Week

West Virginia Tourism Professional of the Year

This award recognizes an individual who has made an outstanding and significant contribution that enriches West Virginia’s tourism industry, through outstanding job performance, leadership in the tourism industry or development and improvement of tourism facilities and activities.

Winner: Alisa Bailey

West Virginia Tourism Oshel Craigo Lifetime Achievement Award

The best of the best in West Virginia’s tourism industry. Persons nominated for this award must have demonstrated continued and long term leadership, benevolence or contributions to the growth and success of the entire state’s tourism industry. This person is the epitome of the state’s success.

Winner: Ken Caplinger
