The WV Tourism mobile banner icon should always be used for optimum legibility and should never be less than .25” (1/4”) wide (¼") wide (18 pixels at 72 dpi) on a 3.5” smart phone screen (screen measured diagonally).

Prior creative approval by the Division of Tourism is recommended.

FOR ALL ADVERTISING IN THIS CATEGORY: The mobile banner icon is required in all mobile banner advertising, although the icon should not link in the ad, but, upon approval, the applicant is also required to have a visible link to the West Virginia Division of Tourism’s home page (www.wvtourism.com) from the page where the consumer is directed by the banner.

Visible Link means - the mobile web site icon (below) must appear on the first visible page – without scrolling down - where the consumer is directed by the ad (whether it’s a mobile or full-sized web site, app, or a landing page). For mobile web sites/apps, the visible link should be the mobile web site icon (below) at a circle size no smaller than .3125” (5/16”) at 72 dpi on a 3.5” smart phone screen. For full-sized web sites, the visible link should be the mobile web site icon at a circle size no smaller than 1.375” (1-3/8”). The consumer should be able to see the logo in the visible screen without scrolling down. If the mobile banner icon is utilized, the corresponding mobile web site icon must also be utilized, even if the standard logo is also being utilized for other non-mobile advertising.

Consumers must be able to reach the Division’s web site with one click from the page where they are first directed by the advertising.

The Tourism Commission/Division of Tourism reserves the right to determine the acceptability and value of all written, graphic and visual material as to its content and appropriateness for the general public and for the state’s effort to promote tourism.
