WV Department of Commerce Come Home to West Virginia

“Almost Heaven West Virginia… Blue Ridge Mountains… Shenandoah River…” The song rings into my ears powered by my iPod as the plane descends closer and closer to home. I can clearly see the mountains now far below out the window of the plane, I can also see a narrow river snaking over the terrain still muddy from a recent rain storm and the melting snow. In a few moments the pilot will make the same announcement I have heard so many times before… This is it, after so many years of working away… I am finally home!

On a recent trip... I was pleasantly surprised to see the wonderful and informative article in the November issue of their US Airways Magazine. I was very impressed with all the positive information that was written in the article… It's so refreshing to see our state portrayed in such a positive light showcasing all the improvements that recently have been made … Even though we are in some pretty scary financial times I'm glad the state is not in the condition of many of our neighboring states. Words cannot describe how much my brother (Brad Bobersky) loves our state. His passion first lies with Huntington and his overwhelming support of Marshall University academics and athletics. There isn’t a week that goes by when he tells us, "You guys are really missing out. How could you live anywhere else?" When we speak of home and the memories we share his face beams. You couldn’t get a better fan to represent West Virginia. He lives, works, breathes and loves his state.
