Our town was trying very hard to pick up the pieces but it really took a lot of time and effort. You have heard that ‘Rome wasn’t built in a Day?’ Well we found out that Kimball could not be rebuilt in a day... or a week... or a month.. or a year. It took several years to rebuild and it is still a work in progress.. I very much wanted my friends and former neighbors to see what we had done. I wanted to show off a town that I was proud of and that I was proud to say that is where I grew up. I did not want people who came by during the bad times to only remember that. We just started by using e mail and word of mouth and during that first year we had about 100 people there. Last year the estimate is about 300 attended. This is our 4th year and we hope to be bigger and better each year and I plan to encourage this event for years and years to come.” ~ Markella Gianato
