Governor Tomblin and Amazon Celebrate Grand Opening of Company’s New Customer Service Center in Huntington, W.Va.

Company to create more than 200 full-time jobs by end of 2014

HUNTINGTON – November 4, 2011 – Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin, Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) and the Huntington Area Development Council today celebrated the opening of the company’s 70,000-square-foot customer service center at KineticPark in Huntington, W.Va. Amazon will create more than 200 full-time jobs and hundreds of seasonal jobs, with a total of 499 full-time jobs at the facility by the end of 2014.

Earl Ray Tomblin. “The event today also celebrates the achievements made possible when business and government become partners and work together to move to the next level of success. Amazon is currently hiring for the new center. Positions include customer service support, as well as management roles in Customer Service, Human Resources, Training, and Information Technology. Amazon will be conducting a job fair on Monday, November 7th at 4 p.m. at its new offices at 500 Kinetic Drive, Huntington.
