Where are you from, where are you located now, and what are your ties to WV?
I was born in Parkersburg and have lived in Vienna all my life. I guess you could say I bleed Blue and Gold!
What was your first job in film production and what was the experience like?
I was an Assistant Director on a zombie film titled, “ReZistance.” Later, after portraying a zombie in the film “Pro Wrestlers vs. Zombies,” it further triggered my desire to be a filmmaker. Being on set and seeing what to do, and what not to do, as far as the production of a film goes, was a learning experience.
What was your last job and what were you responsible for?
In the family of Dizzyboy Productions, we wear many hats. My primary job on set is Director, although I’ve done camera work, helped with lighting, casting and ADR recording. As the Director, I guide the cast and crew in helping create a vision of the screenplay and make it come to life.
What advice would you give someone wanting to work in the film industry?
Go for it and take any job offered. Anything that you can sink your teeth into will help you grow in the industry. Use each film set as a learning tool to gain knowledge and build your resume. We look at the passion of the individual and willingness to be involved, and we’ve made some great friends along the way. Have fun with it!
