Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting: Feb. 19 - 22, Berkeley Springs.
The award-winning Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting competition welcomes more than 100 waters from across the country and around the globe on Saturday, Feb. 21. Scheduled in the historic spa town of Berkeley Springs, it is the largest water-tasting competition in the world. The Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting is held at The Country Inn at Berkeley Springs. Preliminary judging will be Thursday, Feb. 19 and the final tasting will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 21. A reception announcing the winners will follow and include food from The Country Inn. Fasnacht Festival: Feb. 21, Helvetia.
A Swiss celebration to drive Old Man Winter away. The day will begin at 1 p.m. and includes festivities and activities, such as a parade, costume judging, masked ball and the burning of Old Man Winter. The fun will wrap-up in the early morning hours. The Star Band (Red) Hall will accommodate overnight guests. There will be plenty of food and beverages for all. Ballet Hispanico: Feb. 27, The Clay Center, Charleston.
You won’t be able to take your eyes off of these dynamic dancers and their inventive and sophisticated style. Ballet Hispanico has roused audiences worldwide with its magnetic energy and sizzling choreography. Dancers fuse Latin dance with classical techniques to create a new style of concert dance where rhythm and passion propel every move. Stolen Moments: Feb. 28, Hawks Nest State Park, Ansted.

Local groups with an interest in history or genealogy are invited to participate in the 13th West Virginia History Day at the State Capitol Complex during the regular session of the West Virginia Legislature. Attractions include displays, reenactments of events in the state’s history, storytelling and a ceremony honoring citizens from across the state that have made contributions to the history of West Virginia.
