Don Quixote: Feb. 22, Creative Arts Center, Morgantown
The Israel Ballet presents Don Quixote in celebration for the 400th anniversary of the publication of the first part of Miguel de Cervantes novel 'Don Quixote de la Mancha.' The Israel Ballet is the only Ballet in Israel performing the great classical. It is an exciting experience of classical dance, accompanied by rousing music with colorful costumes all set against a video enhanced backdrop. An Evening with Lucille Ball: “Thank You for Asking”: Feb. 23, Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center, Huntington
A celebration of the first lady of television, An Evening with Lucille Ball: “Thank You for Asking,” is a touching, funny and uplifting play performed by actress and renowned impressionist, Suzanne LaRusch, and written by LaRusch in association with Lucie Arnaz and Laurence Luckinbill. Crafted in the spirit of the amusing lectures Lucy enjoyed giving, the evening recreates the comic genius and the magic behind the "Queen of Comedy."  Directed by Lucie Arnaz, it’s the Lucy the whole world loved – from "Ricardo" to "Mame" – but, more importantly, it’s an evening with Lucy, as you’ve never seen her before. The play will be presented at 8 p.m. at the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center as part of the Marshall Artists Series. Sesame Street Live: Elmo's Green Thumb: Feb. 23-24, Big Sandy Arena, Huntington
When Elmo's sunflower, Sunny, outgrows his flower pot, Big Bird's garden seems to be the perfect place for Sunny to flourish. An excited Abby Cadabby, Sesame Street's fairy-in-training, casts a spell to make Sunny grow faster. The spell does just the opposite and, instead of growing, Elmo and his friends shrink! As Abby tries to reverse the spell, Elmo, Zoe, Telly and friends explore Big Bird's garden from a smaller perspective and learn some big lessons about patience, overcoming fears and appreciation of nature. From dancing ladybugs to grouch beetles, get ready for a fresh, original Sesame Street Live on a whole new scale! Richmond Ballet has become one of Richmond’s finest arts and educational institutions, and has gained national recognition as one of the country’s premiere dance organizations. The Ballet's performance repertoire includes works of enduring value – the classic ballets of the past, significant works of our time and new works that reflect a variety of modern influences. The Snowshoe Foundation Ice Dinner: Feb. 26, Snowshoe Mountain, Snowshoe
The night starts with a cocktail reception from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. The event continues through the night until 10 p.m. with additional activities, including a photo booth, dancing and live music, and a live and silent auction. It is the perfect time of year to enjoy an evening surrounded by ice carvings, live and silent auctions and great food.  The auctions include items valued at over $5,000 of the manufacturer’s suggested retail price and there is something for everyone. Fiddler on the Roof Jr.: Feb. 26-27, March 5-7, Actors Guild of Parkersburg, Parkersburg
Tevye, a poor dairyman, tries to instill in his five daughters the traditions of his tight-knit Jewish community in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. Rich in historical and ethnic detail, Fiddler on the Roof Jr. has touched audiences around the world with its humor, warmth and honesty. It's universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness. In addition, a short play entitled Rikki-Tikki-Tavi will be presented. The entire cast and crew of the shows will be comprised of Guild Builders students. The Wheeling Jamboree Presents Union Valley Bluegrass, Robby Parsons & The Bootleggers:  Feb. 27, River City Center, Wheeling
Union Valley is a newer bluegrass band from the Parkersburg and Marietta area. The group plays a variety of music, ranging from old-time and gospel to more contemporary bluegrass works. The group also performs a number of original songs. Robby Parsons & The Bootleggers bring together the sounds of funk, folk and everything in between. Independent musician, label founder and entrepreneur Ani DiFranco makes her fifth appearance on Mountain Stage with songs from her latest CD, Red Letter Year. Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue brings a soul-stew of Louisiana funk and jazz. Finger-style guitarist Andy McKee will present his captivating acoustic guitar virtuosity in the style of Michael Hedges and Leo Kottke. Also appearing will be Chuck Prophet and Erin McKeown. Death Trap Dinner Theatre: March 5-6, Tamarack, Beckley
Nominated for a Tony in 1978, Deathtrap is Levin's best-known production and holds the record as the longest running comedy thriller on Broadway. The synopsis of the play features Sidney Bruhl, a once successful playwright whose last several productions have flopped at the box office, as the main character. Bruhl receives a script by a novice writer named Clifford Anderson for a stage thriller entitled Deathtrap. Bruhl tells his wife Myra that the script is brilliant and he then concocts a murder plot whereby he will offer to help Anderson rewrite the script, but will instead kill him and pass the play off as his own. Tickets are $40 per person.  Each gourmet meal is prepared by Chef Jamie Henderson and his wonderful staff of culinary craftspeople.  Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. in the Ballroom.  The curtain will rise for the performance in the theater at 8 p.m. Reservations are required. 50th Governor's Cup Celebration - Wild Thing Weekend: March 5-7, Canaan Valley Resort State Park, Davis
Let's get "wild" at this annual winter-highlight event of the season featuring various contests, races, cook-outs, live entertainment, and "The Infamous Pond Jump."  The weekend kicks off on Friday at 6:30 p.m. with the Rail Jam.
