Governor's Office announces energy efficiency projects in Brooke, Hancock

CHARLESTON, W.Va.  – Gov. Joe Manchin today announced funding totaling $32,167.17  for an energy efficiency project in the Brooke-Hancock Planning and Development Council, which covers Brooke and Hancock counties. The project will be funded through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant supported by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The City of Follansbee will receive the monies to upgrade the lighting in the Follansbee City Building.

“Reducing energy use in city and county government facilities means energy cost savings,” Gov. Manchin said. “When we conserve energy it is a win-win, for our environment and for our taxpayers because the cost of our government is reduced.”
