Audubon Engineering Co. announced plans to open a regional office in Charleston. The Gulf Coast-based firm expects to have approximately 30 workers in Charleston by mid-2012. Additional staffing needs will be determined by the market. Audubon serves the oil, gas and petrochemical and refining industries. The company cited one attraction of opening an operation in West Virginia included the natural gas potential of the Marcellus Shale formation in West Virginia and surrounding states.
