Corporate America Supports you (CASY) is a nonprofit which focuses on employment readiness training programs, job placement solutions and no-cost services to all veterans, transitioning military and war wounded veterans.  Their mission is to provide no-cost employment readiness, vocational training, and one-on-one job placement services for National Guard, Reserves, transitioning service members, veterans, military spouses, homeless female veterans, war wounded and caregivers of war wounded.  Military Spouse Corporate Career Network (MSCCN) and Corporate America Supports You (CASY) are sister organizations with the same goals, but MSCCN focuses more on military spouses.  MSCCN is a nonprofit which focuses on employment readiness training programs, job placement solutions and no-cost services to all military-affiliated spouses, retired military spouses and caregivers to war wounded heroes.

This Advisor offers guidance for veterans on finding a job, returning to a pre-service employer, working for the Federal government, benefits and other support services, and assistance for family members. It also offers specific information for wounded warriors, including guidance on job accommodations.

Veterans Business Outreach Centers provide services such as mentoring, training, business preparation and more, exclusively for veterans.

As a veteran, you may qualify for government contracting. Obtaining government contracts is an excellent way to grow a small business. If you are a Service Disabled Veteran-owned business, you may be able to become a part of the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concern program.

The Department of Veteran Affairs provides Vetbiz.gov, a free, informational website that gives budding veteran entrepreneurs the tools they need to succeed. Mentoring, coaching and vendor directories are only a few of the tools made available. With limited skills, it could be daunting for a young veteran, fresh out of the army to think of starting his or her own business. However, many veterans are doing just that with Vetbiz.com establishing the foundation.

West Virginia Military Incentive Program
