Ludowici Innovative LLC, originally Innovative Enterprises, is located in Chapmanville, W.Va. Ludowici Innovative, LLC is a global manufacturer of mineral processing. In May 2006 Innovative Enterprises was absorbed into Ludowici Minerals Processing Equipment Company, a global mineral processing company based in Brisbane, Australia. Innovative Enterprises had already embarked on a continuous improvement process, and as Ludowici Innovative, LLC the urgency and need for improvement became even greater.

As the expansion phase of Ludowici unfolded, addressing skill defi ciencies that existed in the organization were imperative. Through the Governor’s Guaranteed Work Force Program, Ludowici Innovative, LLC was awarded funds to assist with facilitating training in lean manufacturing, Solid Works (3-D engineering design software) and safety. Each of these areas of training was defi ned as necessary in order to move the company to the next level. That next level includes more professionalism, better design and production capabilities, and, more importantly, creating a safer work environment.

Worker at Ludowici InnovativeLudowici Innovative, LLC has accomplished much in a short period of time, and will need to accomplish even more in 2008.
