Charleston Stamping & Manufacturing, Inc. located in South Charleston, W.Va., is a 922,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. The assets were purchased out of bankruptcy in December 2006 by Ray Park. Since the purchase, the facility has undergone a major transformation.

In modernizing the facility, Charleston Stamping & Manufacturing, Inc. has upgraded electronics on four major press lines to PLC controls, added a totally automated die change system, refurbished six major press lines and purchased and installed 45 ABB robots. With assistance provided by the Governor’s Guaranteed Work Force Program, CSM is able to partner with West Virginia Community and Technical Colleges, People Work Solutions and other training providers to outline the educational requirements and identify skills required to operate the leading-edge manufacturing facility.
