This unique museum was the former sheriffs home from 1912 until 1986 and was an unique structure as the sheriff could go from his home to his office to the jail and to the Court House without ever stepping outside. All three of these buildings are on the National Register of Historic Sites. Artifacts date back to the 1700s. The entry has a coffin door and there are double mantles in the living room and dining room. It is still heated by the 1911 system which is connected to all three buildings. Come visit us and watch for our special activities on our website. The tours are free. Museum is open from 10-2 Monday-Saturday
