WVDOE funding opportunity

A WVDOE program, funded by the Appalachian Regional Commission, will increase renewable energy, reforestation and agriculture projects on surface-mined lands. Competitive cost-shared sub-grants will fund projects with the potential to yield sustainable biomass energy or agriculture production, to meet reforestation purposes or to provide wind generation of electricity, solar photovoltaic or concentrated solar power applications on surface-mined lands in West Virginia. Marshall University’s Center for Environmental, Geotechnical and Applied Sciences will administer individual grants.
