FRAUD ALERT FOR EMPLOYER/CLAIMANT INFORMATION REQUESTS

WorkForce West Virginia has been notified by the U.S. Department of Labor that some employers have received fraudulent e-mails requesting employer/claimant information. A West Virginia employer reports receipt of a fraudulent e-mail requesting employee wage and separation information. This e-mail states it is from WorkForce West Virginia and requests that the employer complete wage and separation information on former employees on form 1062/1074. These e-mails were not generated by WorkForce West Virginia and should be deleted immediately. If you receive the above-mentioned e-mail communication, please be aware it is a scam.

In order to assist our agency in fraud prevention, please report any suspected fraud to your local office or to UC Benefits and Technical Support Section at 304-558-3309.
